Comedian Bill Cosby has thanked his fans for their moral support following a woman's allegations of sexual assault against him.
The 77-year-old's new public-relations consultant issued a statement Wednesday which states that his Friday gig in Lafayette, Louisiana will take place amid all sexual assault allegations, reports aceshowbiz.com.
"Dear Fans: For 53 years you have given me your love, support, respect and trust. Thank you! I can't wait to see your smiling faces and warm your hearts with a wonderful gift - LAUGHTER.
"I'm ready! I thank you, the theatre staff (at Heymann Performing Arts Centre), the event organisers and the Lafayette Community for your continued support and coming to experience family, fun entertainment," the statement read.
More than 30 women have accused the Cosby of sexual assault, but he has denied it. Earlier, some of his shows were postponed or cancelled in the wake of the accusations.
