BJP leader Manoj Tiwari accused the Delhi government of corruption in its health care system here on Friday, saying that the latter is trying to cover up irregularities by not appointing a monitoring committee.
Tiwari, while speaking to the media, said the corruption was in "health services, distribution of free medicines, management of Hospitals, Mohalla Clinics and Health Department" under Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
He said that Kejriwal was reluctant to appoint a city level monitoring committee, prescribed by the Centre under the National Health Mission, because it can only be headed by a Member of Parliament (MP), and all MPs in Delhi are from the Bharatiya Janata Party.
"The Centre has been releasing funds to Delhi Government under various health schemes and also reminding the Kejriwal Government from time to time to setup monitoring committee," the Delhi BJP leader said.
