As the local body elections in Madhya Pradesh are around the corner, four leaders of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party were expelled from the party for rebelling and entering the fray.

State party President Nandkumar Chauhan expelled for six years Devendra Ueke and Jugal Pandey from Balaghat district's Behar Nagar Parishad for running against BJP nominated candidates in the local body elections.

Similarly, Babulal Patidar and Mamata Patel were expelled from the party for six years in Ratlam district's Sailana Nagar Parishad elections.

The rebels were denied party tickets for the local bodies elections.
