BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav on Saturday asked party leaders and workers to gear up for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's November 7 visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
"The Prime Minister is coming here with a message for the youth and we must ensure his public rally is a grand success", the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said while chairing a meeting of state party leaders here.
"We have to ensure that his message of peace, prosperity and development reaches everywhere," he said.
Ram Madhav reviewed the arrangements for Modi's public rally at Sher-e-Kashmir cricket stadium in Srinagar on November 7, which is his first public appearance in the valley after the PDP-BJP alliance government took over in the state on March 1.
Modi was expected to announce a large, all-inclusive economic package during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
The prime minister would also inaugurate a 450-MW phase two of Baglihar power project in Ramban district of Jammu region and the four-laning of Udhampur-Bannihal stretch of Jammu-Srinagar national highway by the National Highway Authority of India.
In Baglihar, he would inaugurate Shaheed Amarnath Bhagat skill development institute.
