Upcoming Telugu romantic-drama "Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini" will soon be remade in Bollywood, says its director Chandru. Discussions are currently underway for the movie's casting.
Actor Sushant Singh Rajput is likely to play the lead in the remake.
"My film's producer L. Sridhar had apparently discussed the story with Sushant, who liked it. Everything now is at the initial stage and it will take time for the project to take off in Hindi. The official confirmation will come from my producer," Chandru told IANS.
However, Chandru isn't in a hurry to enter Bollywood.
"I'm waiting for the Telugu version of the film to release. Then, I intend to start a Kannada project with Shivrajkumar. Only after these projects are completed, will I even think of starting the Hindi project," he said.
Starring Sudheer Babu and Nandita in the lead, "Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini" is the remake of Chandru's own hit Kannada film "Charminar".
