Art Stage Singapore 2014 has selected Bose Krishnamachari as the curator of its India pavilion in the new "Platform" section.

Krishnamachari is president of the Kochi Biennale Foundation and co-curated the first edition of Kochi-Muziris Biennale that ended early this year at Kochi.

Art Stage Singapore will take place at Marina Bay Sands from Jan 15-19, 2014.

Krishnamachari will select Indian artists and help organisers design the Indian pavilion for the new project, called "Platform", where a handful of countries will have their individual curated shows.

"I will be looking at the works of Indian artists and have to pick six to eight of them through their galleries," Krishnamachari said.

The new component in the fair will be the regional and country platforms, where exciting new works by well known and emerging artists from Asia-Pacific will be featured on the same stage.
