Botswana's ruling party, the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), won majority of parliament seats in the country's 11th general elections, media reported Sunday.

Although results of some constituencies were still unknown, BDP has won 29 of 57 parliament seats in 57 constituencies, Xinhua reported citing the state-run DailyNews.

The government's official facebook "BWgovernment" also reported the result.

The result means current President of Botswana Seretse Khama Ian Khama, the presidential candidate from BDP, would be re-elected.
