Teenage Brazilian forward Gabriel Barbosa has said he has not given up hope that FC Barcelona will take up their option of signing him.
The 19-year-old was one of three Santos players for which FC Barcelona acquired a first option as part of the deal that took Neymar to the club in 2013, reports Xinhua.
Barcelona have already passed up the chance to sign the other two players - Victor Andrade and Giva - who have since left the Brazilian club.
"Playing at Barcelona would be a dream come true, especially because I'm a fan of Messi and Neymar," Gabriel said on Saturday.
"Everyone dreams to play for Barcelona, and it's no different for me. It would be an honor to play with the best. To play in the same team as Messi, Suarez and Neymar is really a dream. If it's meant to be, it will happen."
Gabriel has played 39 matches for Santos this year, scoring 12 goals.
He has also been linked to Manchester United, Real Madrid and Inter Milan.
