British Airways is offering 15 percent discount on its fares to London and North America from Indian cities to mark the country's 67th Independence Day (I-Day), the airline said Tuesday.

"The four-day celebratory offer of 15 percent discount on first and club world (business class) fares starts Aug 15 for outbound travel from Sep 1 to Dec 20 to mark India's 67th Independence Day," British Airways South Asia regional commercial manager Christopher Fordyce said in a statement here.

Indian passengers travelling via London-Heathrow will also benefit from the airline's Terminal-5, which provides seamless connections to over 200 destinations in partnership with American Airlines.

"From de-stressing and relaxing before a flight in one of our departure lounges and enjoying drinks in a luxury facial treatment, customers can look forward to stellar service and an overall flying experience with our airline," Fordyce said.

The airline operates 46 flights a week from five Indian cities -- Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi to London (Heathrow) and other destinations across Europe and the US.

Coinciding with the I-Day fete, the airline is also showcasing some of its iconic photos from its heritage collection, which captures its first flight to Delhi and its national crew uniforms, including the Indian sari uniform.

"With over 90 years of flying experience behind us, we understand our customers travel requirements and endeavour to enhance their journey with us. We have committed to invest five million pounds in our products and services over the next five years," Fordyce saod.
