British Airways on Monday said it has offered World Traveller economy class tickets to London Heathrow for 50 per cent fewer Avios.
Avios are reward points or "currency" collected by a member of the Executive Club of the British Airways on booking flights, hotel stays and car hire with the airline and its partners. Avios can be spent for rewards such as flights, upgrades, hotel stays and car hire.
"Available for booking from today until December 17, the airline is offering World Traveller economy class tickets to London Heathrow for 50 per cent fewer Avios," British Airways said in a statement.
The airline said passengers can book a return flight from the five cities -- New Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai and Bangalore -- using 16,250 Avios instead of 32,500.
"Members can now fly to London for 50 per cent fewer Avios, spending the Avios they save on extras such as hotel stays and car hire. With this limited-time offer and long travel window, members can plan ahead for their trips to London well into 2018," said Robert Williams, Head of Sales - Asia Pacific and the Middle East, British Airways.
