A giant Indian naan, measuring 3.79 metres by 1.4 metres (12.5ft by 4.7ft), created by a team of British firefighters could find a place in record books, a media report said Monday.

A team of firefighters from Britain's Eastleigh borough, led by fire officer Dave Curry, made the Indian bread, weighing 26kg at the Eastleigh Mela Indian festival in southern England's Hampshire Sunday.

The firefighters were assisted by Badi Mirchi and Sanjha restaurants in their endeavours, BBC reported.

Footage of the record attempt will now be sent to Guinness World Records

for official verification.

The world record attempt bread was sold for 3 pounds with a curry,

in an effort to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity, Water Wells Project and Hampshire Hurricanes.
