British unemployment rate fell to 5.3 percent in the three months to September, down from 6.0 percent for a year earlier and the lowest since 2008.
There were 1.75 million unemployed people, 103,000 fewer than for April to June 2015 and 210,000 fewer than for a year earlier, reported Xinhua.
The number of people working full-time rose by 273,000, compared with the same period last year, to 22.80 million.
The number of people working part-time was 8.42 million, up 146,000 compared with the same period last year.
For July to September 2015, 73.7 percent of people aged from 16 to 64 were in work, the highest employment rate since comparable records began in 1971.
