British police confirm Indian-origin woman's death

Police in the British city of Bradford have confirmed that the body pulled out from a city river Dec 5 was that of missing Indian-origin woman Seemberjeet Kaur.

Seemberjeet Kaur, 35, was missing since Oct 23.

Police conducted a post-mortem on the body and declared Friday that it was of Seemberjeet Kaur, the Telegraph and Argus reported Saturday.

She was a resident of Wibsey and the mother of a three-year-old child. She was last seen at Roberts Park in Saltaire Oct 23.

She was reportedly under medication for depression.

According to media reports, she was supposed to take her daughter from a nursery school but did not turn up. Her husband, Baljeet, raised an alarm when the school contacted him to inform that no one came to pick up their child.

She reportedly took a taxi from her home around 10 a.m. Oct 23 and was dropped in the Salts Mill area of Saltaire about half an hour later.

CCTV footage showed that she spent around three hours in the Roberts Park where she used to go regularly with her child.
