Former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram on Thursday said the budget said that it will not have any impact on the assembly elections in five states.
"People have already stopped talking about the budget 24 hours after it was presented.
"I don't think this will have any impact on state elections," said Chidambaram at a press conference.
Elections will be held for the Punjab, Goa, Manipur, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh assemblies in February-March.
