At least 50 people were killed and several others injured on Friday after two buses collided head on in Ghana and one of them caught fire, media reports said.
The public transport buses were carrying over 50 passengers each when the accident took place in Ampoma town of Bono East region, Channel Africa reported.
One of Ghana's biggest privately-owned long distance bus companies, VVIP, was involved in the crash.
The road affected is one of the important routes connecting two parts of the country. Ghana's road network is largely improved and accidents like this are rare, Channel Africa reported.
