A 30-year-old cab driver has been arrested for allegedly raping a 16-year-old schoolgirl. A case has been registered under the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, police said on Thursday.
A police officer said the incident happened in September in east Delhi's Madhu Vihar and the complaint was received on Wednesday.
"The accused is her neighbour. Her parents had hired him to drop her to school two to three months back," he said.
He added that the driver had befriended the victim and "one day instead of dropping her to school, he took her to his house where he raped her".
