Samuel Eto'o will miss Cameroon's FIFA World Cup Group A match against Croatia at the Arena da Amazonia Wednesday as he is nursing a right knee injury.
The striker did not train for the last two days after aggravating a problem he suffered while playing for Chelsea last month, reports Xinhua.
"The doctors confirm! I would probably not be able to play the match on Wednesday due to an injury on my knee causing me pain," Eto'o wrote on Twitter.
The 33-year-old is also in doubt for Cameroon's final group match against Brazil June 23.
The African team are currently third in Group A after a 0-1 loss to Mexico in their opening match.
