Marie-Philip Poulin scored the golden goal to snatch Canada's 3-2 victory over the US in the women's ice hockey final of the Winter Olympics here.

It was the Canadian women's fourth straight Olympic gold. Earlier, Switzerland came from behind to beat Sweden 4-3 to take the bronze Thursday, reports Xinhua.

Poulin hit the winner in the ninth minute of overtime after equalising the scores in the last minute of the final period. The US had led through Meghan Duggan in the 32nd minute and Alex Carpenter in the 43rd before Canadian Brianne Jenner pulled one back.
