Car runs over two Delhi Police constables

Two Delhi Police constables sustained injuries when a speeding car ran over them here, police said Thursday.

The incident took place around 6.40 p.m. Wednesday at the city's Mandir Marg area when the constables were checking vehicles, a police official said.

The driver of the car was arrested for rash driving.

The constables - identified as 24-year-old Sunil Kumar and 25-year-old Rakesh - were admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia hospital.

The official said they were out of danger.
