Hailing his country's football captain Cristiano Ronaldo as "the best", Portuguese midfielder William Carvalho said he is "surprised" that the striker still wants to improve.
"When I met him (Cristiano) he was the best but he still wants to improve, so I admire Cristiano for that desire," Carvalho told Efe.
"If Cristiano scores a hat-trick in a game, he will want to score four in the next. If he runs 100 kilometres in one match, he will want to run 150 in the next," the Sporting Lisbon midfielder added.
Carvalho, who debuted with his national team in November 2013, pointed out that Cristiano is the most experienced player with 125 international matches and shares that experience with other teammates.
"I also think the most experienced players can learn from younger players, as all players are leaders in the field," Carvalho added.
