West Bengal will get more than the double central paramilitary force personnel in the coming Lok Sabha elections compared to the 2009 poll, Chief Election Commissioner V.S. Sampath said here Sunday.

Stating that the law and order situation in West Bengal is "satisfactory" by and large, Sampath said every polling station will have two armed personnel.

"Every polling station will have two armed personnel. Central force deployed would be slightly more than double than last time," he told reporters here.

Sampath was addressing the media after the full bench of the commission held a series of meetings with the political parties, bureaucrats, police officers and income tax officials in the state.

Regarding Trinamool Congress's letter to the Commission seeking clarification on the use of Pawan Hans helicopters by BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi for public rallies, Sampath said: "We have to take a look at the actual request. We will definitely take reasonable action."

Asked about BJP's complaint that state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was instigating the masses against it, Sampath said the commission would go through the CD of her speeches and consider whether any action needs to be initiated.

Reacting to queries on action by the CEC regarding Bengal officials, Sampath noted the answers would be clear in a couple of days.
