Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda on Thursday said the central government will provide Rs.20 lakh for the rehabilitation of Sunday's fire victims in Himachal Pradesh.
"The funds are being provided to deputy commissioner, Kullu for utilising it in rehabilitation work in the fire ravaged village. The local administration has been asked to send estimates of the loss of property and rehabilitation requirements," Nadda said in a statement here.
The fire incident took place on Sunday night in Kotla village of Kullu district, where over 70 houses were gutted.
Nadda said that after receiving the loss assessment, the central government would provide required support from various ministries and institutions, including public sector undertakings.
