Applause and cheering went up as outgoing President Barack Obama crossed the stage to shake hands with Donald Trump, as the latter prepared to become the 45th President of the US.
The leaders could be seen shaking hands with those present at the platform, including Hillary Clinton, the Democrat rival.
House Speaker Paul Ryan walked right behind. Obama also could be seen patting Trump on the back.
Trump's wife Melania, and his five children -- Ivanka Trump, Don Jr, Eric, Tiffany and Barron were there, including spouses Jared, Vanessa and Lara.
