The sequel to 2007 Tamil coming-of-age sports drama "Chennai 600028" was launched here on Monday.
Director Venkat Prabhu, who has reunited with the cast of the film's first part, shared the news on his Twitter page.
"#reunion #vp7 #poojai #freshstart need ur love and support (sic)," Prabhu tweeted along with an image from the launch.
Released in 2007, the film explored themes such as love, friendship and rivalry against the backdrop of a gully cricket.
The sequel will be produced by Prabhu's Black Ticket Company, and will feature an ensemble cast of Jai, Shiva, Premgi Amaren, Aravind Akash, Nithin Satya, Varalakshmi and Vaibhav.
