Renowned author Chetan Bhagat, who often played matchmaker for friends in college, has decided to tell people the benefits of finding the right partner through a matrimonial site by turning narrator and telling success stories of couples who met online.
The 39-year-old, who has penned best selling books like "One Night @ the Call Centre", "Five Point Someone" and "3 Mistakes Of My Life", has become part of a campaign called - Love Arranged by Shaadi.com, said a statement.
Talking about his association with the matrimony site, Bhagat said: "Shaadi.com has been constantly helping the youth find their special someone for over 16 years now.
"I often played matchmaker with my friends in college, but I never knew that I would be doing so on a national level with a trusted brand like Shaadi.com," he added.
Bhagat's youth-centric books and his "2 States - The Story of My Marriage" talks about love and marriage and Anupam Mittal, CEO, Shaadi.com, feels that the author's association with the website is relevant.
"Chetan Bhagat is a youth icon, who is known for his honest writing. Happily married for years, he is a strong believer in the sacred institution of marriage, and so are we," said Mittal
"He believes in love and at Shaadi.com, we make love happen by bringing people together," he added.
