China has condemned Sunday's terrorist attacks on churches in Pakistan, state-run Xinhua news agency reported on Monday.
"We are deeply shocked and in a state of grief over the attacks and condemn the terrorists in the strongest terms," foreign ministry spokesperson Hong Lei said on Monday.
At least 15 people were killed and over 70 wounded when two suicide bombers blew themselves up at two churches in Pakistan's eastern city of Lahore on Sunday, according to hospital sources.
"China extends heartfelt condolences to the victims and expresses deep sympathy to the wounded and the families of the victims," Hong said.
Stressing that China opposed terrorism in any form, he said China would continue to support Pakistan's efforts to counter terrorism and safeguard national stability.
