China's Jiangsu province beat Kazakhstan in straight sets on the second day of the 10th international women's volleyball tournament, the VTV Eximbank Cup, here Sunday.
In the first few minutes of the game, Kazakhstan led 6-1. However, Chinese players quickly found their form to balance the game, winning the first set 25-22. Jiangsu continued to outperform Kazakhstan in the second and third sets winning 25-17 and 25-20, reports Xinhua.
With the victory, China's Jiangsu claimed the second win at the tournament so far. On the first day of the event, Jiangsu defeated hosts Vietnam 3-2 while Shandong beat Kazakhstan 3-0 and Thailand defeated Australia 3-1.
The VTV Eximbank Cup is being held July 13-20 with the participation of six teams from Australia, China, Kazakhstan, Thailand and Vietnam.
