The US and China have held discussions on the Asia-Pacific situation and each country's policy on this region.
The talks were held China's Assistant Foreign Minister Zhen Zeguang and Daniel Russel, assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific affairs, co-chaired the fifth China-US Consultations on Asia-Pacific Issues in Beijing, Xinhua reported.
After the consultations, the two countries released a list of areas in which they would aim to cooperate in Asia. It included items ranging from disaster relief and food security to public health and customs.
