Chinese business tycoon Wang Jianlin, whose chartered aircraft with nine people aboard made an emergency landing here in the Tripura capital on Thursday, left for China on Friday in another plane, officials said.

Wang, one of the world's richest men, is the chairman of the multi-billion Dalian Wanda group.

"Wang Jianlin along with three of his team members and one of the five crew member left Agartala for China by a chartered aircraft, which came here this afternoon from Mumbai," an official of Airport Authority of India told IANS.

He said a technician who came here from Mumbai could not repair the plane, which developed technical problem on Thursday while flying over Agartala on way to Chinese capital Beijing from New Delhi.

The plane is still in Agartala airport and expected to fly to China on Saturday with remaining four crew members after another engineer came here to repair it.

Wang, during his four-day visit to India, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and union Industry and Commerce Secretary Amitabh Kant on June 9 in New Delhi.

Before leaving New Delhi, Wang, who was in India at the invitation of Modi, announced his plans to invest $5 billion in developing industrial townships in India.
