Chinese smartphone maker iVOOMi on Tuesday announced its partnership with e-commerce major Flipkart to enhance its marketing strategy for the Indian market.
The company intends to utilise Flipkart's marketing intelligence support to target smartphone users in smaller cities and towns across the country.
iVOOMi plans to facilitate its Research and & Development (R&D) in Hong Kong and China with support from Flipkart's analytics of smartphone usage in India.
"We are glad to be associated with the e-commerce major Flipkart. Through their verified intelligence reports, our focus is to ensure the development of latest technology in the most cost-effective range, as desired by users in this geography," said Ashwin Bhandari, CEO, iVOOMi India, in a statement.
iVOOMi also chose Flipkart as its exclusive sales partner for its upcoming range of smartphone. The cost of the smartphones will range between Rs 5,000-Rs 10,000.
