Former supermodel Cindy Crawford says she wishes she'd been warned about the dangers of damaging her hair when she was younger.
The 48-year-old has admitted she never knew that washing her locks too often and using too many products could make it age prematurely, reports contactmusic.com.
She said: "No one tells you about your hair! You don't expect the texture to change and that it will break more easily. I'm definitely kinder to it now. I don't wash and dry it every day.
"I try to make a blow-dry last. If I work out, I'll pin it up in a top knot so I don't get dents in it. I'll sleep with it pinned up."
However, she is still a fan of masks, which help bring her hair back to life but chooses quick-fix formulas that allow her to spend less time "naked in the shower".
