The sky remained cloudy through the day on Wednesday and gentle gusts of wind accompanied by light rain in parts of the city kept the maximum temperature two notches below the season's average at 32 degrees Celsius. Similar weather is expected on Thursday, the Met Office said.
"The sky will be generally cloudy tomorrow (Thursday) and some parts of the city may get light rain," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 32 and 24 degrees Celsius.
According to the IMD, On Wednesday, the city received "traces" of rainfall till 5.30 p.m. which are "not measurable".
Wednesday morning was pleasant and the minimum temperature was recorded at 24.2 degrees, three notches below the season's average.
The day's maximum humidity was recorded at 79 percent.
Tuesday's maximum temperature was recorded at 33 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average, while the minimum was 26 degrees Celsius - the season's average.
