Stand-up comedian Tammy Pescatelli has apologised for accusing actress Amy Schumer of stealing jokes.

Stopping by "Jim Norton Advice Show" on Thursday, Pescatelli admitted that she "went too far" over the matter, reports aceshowbiz.com.

"I went too deep. It went too far, and for that I'm super apologetic," Pescatelli told Norton.

She said that she first noticed the similarity between her and Schumer's jokes when she saw the trailer for "Trainwreck".

"I was the last to the party and I drank the most and was the loudest. I probably should have just stayed out of it and kept my mouth shut," she added.

She realised that it might just be parallel thinking and Schumer might have never seen her show that contained the said jokes.

Pescatelli also agreed that Schumer had "every right to be mad".

On Wednesday, Schumer denied allegations that she stole jokes from comedians Kathleen Madigan, Wendy Liebman and Piscatelli. She took to Twitter to defend herself after a video comparing her jokes to those comedians went viral.
