Stand-up comedian Jeeveshu Ahluwalia, who has joined hands with radio channel Radio City 91.1 for show "Joke Studio", says comedy will keep on evolving.

"Joke Studio", launched last week, has comedians like Sunil Pal, Amit, Maheep, Sanket and Jeeveshu in collaboration with the radio channel's popular character Babber Sher. The show aims at spreading cheer and laughter on the go.

Jeeveshu feels that as long as "people have the propensity to get sad, comedy will be around".

"Comedy will continuously evolve. Thus 'Joke Studio' is a great initiative and example of evolution in comedy. It gets people to write, think and come up with content around IPL, Swachh Bharat and No Smoking," Jeeveshu told IANS.

Jeeveshu feels despite its wide reach, radio lacks "instant live feedback".

"Our regular shows are stand-up, live shows, which is great for any comic, but to reach out to such a large audience over radio means we don't get instant live feedback. It is important on air...we cater to a wider audience, which means the content has to be clean," he said.

Jeeveshu added: "The varied demography means our content, while prepared by us, has to suit the listener, which becomes a challenge for any comic. The audio-visual becomes audio, making the effort more challenging yet enjoyable, given the mass audience we reach out to."
