The government said Wednesday it has constituted an inter-ministerial committee to fast-track investment proposals from US and to address the issues related to their implementation.
According to the commerce ministry, the inter-ministerial committee will be headed by the secretary in the department of industrial policy and promotion (DIPP).
The ministry said that among other things, the committee will facilitate and fast-track proposals, identify bottlenecks and interact with US companies to facilitate investments.
"The committee will encourage such practices that promote investment in manufacturing with special emphasis on green, advanced and smart technologies by US companies," the ministry said in statement.
