A complaint was filed Wednesday against union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti for making hate remarks against a community during a poll rally here.

The complaint was filed by advocate Rajeev Kumar Bhola in west Delhi's Tilak Nagar police station.

Bhola told IANS that he requested police to arrest the minister of state for food processing industries.

Sadhvi Jyoti is in the eye of a storm for her use of foul language two days ago at the Bharatiya Janata Party rally, where she had reportedly asked the voters to "decide if you want a government in Delhi to be led by children of Lord Ram or illegitimate children".

"Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti is punishable under Sections 153A (hurting sentiments of a section) and 500 (defamation) of the Indian Penal Code for making false and malicious imputations for prompting enmity between Hindu and non-Hindu communities, outraging the religious feeling of non-Hindu community," said the complaint, a copy of which is in possession of IANS.

"Her grossly offensive speech has caused grave insult to the citizens and caused prejudice to the national integration," the complaint said.
