The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday said the Congress's march against intolerance was nothing but "intolerance against investigation" in corruption cases.

Addressing a press conference here, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra along with G.V.L. Narsimha Rao said the Congress organised its march against intolerance when investigation against "damaad" (son-in-law) advanced in corruption cases.

"It is nothing but the march against investigation in cases against their people like Robert Vadra (son-in-law of Sonia Gandhi," he said.

Giving details of how land was bought in Rajasthan's Bikaner city under fictitious names, Patra said when things were hotting up against Vadra the Congress was organising such a march to divert attention.

"Whenever there is an investigation, Congress would come up with something like this," he said, adding that the "investigation has reached your doorstep".

Meanwhile, Vadra has written on his Facebook page that whenever the central government gets insecure, it starts targeting him.

"Here they go again ... Whenever they get insecure, they concoct some false accusations on me. The nation is not misguided by their tactics anymore," he wrote.

Led by its party president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi, the Congress on Tuesday staged a march from Parliament House to Rashtrapati Bhavan to highlight its concern against rising intolerance in the country.
