The Congress is planning to launch a website to get inputs and opinions from the public for its 2014 general election manifesto, party sources said Tuesday.
The idea is the brain child of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi who wants to involve the common man in the exercise.
"The party will soon launch an official website for the 2014 election manifesto. Public can give their suggestions for it," a Congress leader told IANS.
The website may be launched in the coming weeks, said sources.
"The objective is to reflect the aam aadmi's (common man) view in the manifesto," said a Congress leader.
A party panel would consider the public suggestions on the website.
In July, during a closed door meeting with party workers, Gandhi said people's views should be incorporated in the manifesto and it should not be prepared based only on inputs of those sitting in offices.
