The Congress party on Monday staged a protest against the Delhi and central governments for the "failure of the corporation" in providing salaries to the employees of the national capital's civic agencies.
The protest was staged at the MCD office in Lajpat Nagar.
The protest was led by senior Congress leaders P.C. Chacko and Ajay Maken.
"We are protesting against the failure of the corporation to pay salaries to the MCD employees," Chacko told IANS.
Maken mocked AAP government in Delhi, which marked its 50 days in government, by calling it a "party of VIP and VVIPs".
"AAP had claimed to be the party of common man but now they have become the party of VIP and VVIPs," Maken said.
