The Congress will send its spokespersons across the country from Monday to give wider publicity to the food security ordinance, party leaders said.
Congress sources said Saturday that those deputed for holding press conferences in various state capitals included party spokespersons Renuka Chowdhary, Sandeep Dikshit, Bhakta Charan Das, Meem Afzal, Haryana minister Randeep Singh Surjewala, party leaders Mukesh Nayak and Prem Chand Sharma.
"They would start visiting state capitals from July 15," said Congress communication department chief Ajay Maken.
The first conference would be addressed by Renuka Chowdhury in Mumbai July 15 as per the plan.
Besides, places like Silvassa, Panjim, Hyderabad, Chennai, Puducherry, Guwahati, Bagdogra, Bangalore, Bhopal, Srinagar, Chandigarh, Shimla, Kalka, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Imphal, Shillong, Kolkata, Dimapur, Kohima, Lucknow, Raipur, Patna and Jaipur would be covered over the next week, said the sources.
