Delhi experienced a cool Tuesday with the maximum temperature settling three notches below the season's average at 17.6 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast a similar Wednesday.
The maximum and the minimum temperatures Wednesday will hover around 19 degrees Celsius and 5 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The morning will start wih fog but the sky will remain mainly clear in the later part of the day, an India Meteorological Department official said.
Tuesday morning was chilly and fog was witnessed in the early hours. The minimum temperature settled at 6.1 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
According to Northern Railway, 20 trains were rescheduled while 53 were late due to fog in some of the northern parts of the country.
However, arrivals and departures of flights were not affected due to the Delhi weather, said Indira Gandhi International Airport spokesperson Kapil Sabarwal.
Monday's maximum temperature was recorded one notch below the season's average at 19 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled a notch below the season's average at 6.6 degrees Celsius.
