Coolpad Max with 'dual-system' feature launched in India

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Coolpad on Friday launched a new smartphone that comes with a "dual-system" feature which allows users to have an additional secure internal system which encrypts the user's sensitive data such as calls and text messages.

The Rs.24,999 smartphone also has a unique SIM management feature that enables users to have dual accounts for apps like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger or any other messaging app, company officials told reporters at a launch event here.

The first sale for Coolpad Max will begin from May 30 on Amazon.

The device sports an all-metal unibody design and has 5.5-inch Full HD display with pixel density of 401 ppi and 64GB internal storage.

Coolpad Max comes with Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with 4GB RAM to ensure that all apps run without any hiccups.

The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system paired with Coolpad's custom user interface on top of it.

The smartphone is fueled by a 2800mAh battery which, the company claims, can give up to 17 hours of talktime after charging once.

The smartphone also features "Quick Charge" which can help charge the battery by up to 65 percent in just 30 minutes.

It has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash on the back and a 5MP front camera for selfie lovers.

Coolpad Max also has a fingerprint scanner at the back and comes with all basic connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS, etc.

The smartphone measures 7.6 mm in thickness and weighs around 170 grams.
