Borussia Monchengladbach have extended the contract of Michael Cuisance ahead of schedule, the "Foals" announced in an official statement on Thursday.
The 18-year-old midfielder extended his running contract, stipulated until June 2022, to stay with Monchengladbach until summer 2023.
"Michael was one of the greatest surprises of the last season, in which he immediately established himself in the Bundesliga. We are happy that he signed a long-term contract," Monchengladbach's sporting director Max Eberl said.
Cuisance joined the "Foals" from French outfit AS Nancy in July 2017. He had made 24 appearances and provided two goals in the season 2017-2018.
Borussia Monchengladbach completed the Bundesliga season 2017-2018 in the 9th place in the standings.
