After four days of exciting matches, Red Bull Campus Cricket 2019 National Finals came to an end. DAV College Chandigarh beat Hindustan College Chennai in a low scoring final to emerge the India Champions of the T20 tournament.
The tournament had commenced with the city qualifiers in February. DAV College Chandigarh will be representing India in the world finals of Red Bull Campus Cricket later this year.
Two regional finals were held in each zone and the winners of each regional final competed at the Red Bull Campus Cricket India final that was held in Jaipur from May 13 to 17. It commenced with 8 college teams from across the four different zones in the qualifier round.
Red Bull athlete and number one ranked ODI batswoman Smriti Mandhana, Head Coach Paddy Upton, Batting Coach Amol Muzumdar, Bowling Coach Sairaj Bahutale and young talented batsman Riyan Parag from Rajasthan Royals were present at the National Finals of Red Bull Campus Cricket on May 17. They were accompanied by cricket commentator Suhail Chandhok, who also hosted the press conference.
Rajasthan Royals scouts were present at the National finals and kept a keen eye on a few selected players. These players will now get an opportunity to be a part of the trials conducted by the team along with the possibility of getting picked up in the next IPL auctions.
The league rounds of Red Bull Campus Cricket National finals took place at Jaipuria Cricket Academy and KL Saini Ground from May 13 to May 15.

Red Bull Athlete Smriti Mandhana said, "I am so excited to be here. DAV College Chandigarh reached the finals by beating Alfala University Delhi whereas Hindustan College Chennai
beat MMCC Pune to get through to the finals.
