The DDA approved its biggest housing scheme so far of over 25,000 flats Friday.
"The registration for these flats will begin from Sep 1 and end Oct 9. The draw of lots will be conducted within 15 to 20 days of the last date of registration," Delhi Development Authority (DDA) vice-chairman Balvinder Kumar said here.
Green technology will be used in building these flats that will be located in areas like Rohini, Dwarka and Narela.
The controversial clause of reserving 80 percent flats for Delhiites has been dropped. The flats are divided into three categories -- Lower Income Group, Middle Income Group and Higher Income Group.
Of these, 700 flats will be reserved for people belonging to economically weaker section (EWS) of the society.
The registration fee for general category flats will Rs.1 lakh, while it will be Rs.10,000 for EWS flats.
