The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Wednesday extended till March 18 the deadline for the competition to design a logo and tagline for the Ayushman Bharat programme.
"The competition was launched on February 19 and will now conclude on March 18," the ministry said in a statement.
"This shall be done through a 'digital crowd sourcing campaign' on MyGov portal," it said.
The Ayushman Bharat programme is the world's largest government-funded health programme that includes the National Health Protection Scheme (NHPS), under which 10 crore poor families will be provided medical coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year.
Apart from the financial protection for medical emergencies, the Ayushman Bharat programme announced in the General Budget last month aims to strengthen primary, secondary and tertiary health care system in the country.
"The main aim of the competition is to generate awareness among the population about these health sector initiatives and engage them towards ownership in shaping a healthy India," the Ministry said.
