Not-for-profit deAsra Foundation on Monday said it had conducted a business workshop where more than 150 women entrepreneurs across the city were instructed in basics of management and scaling up businesses.
The Pune-headquartered foundation said the business workshop -- "the LEAP", organised in association with Facebook group PULA (Pune Ladies) on Sunday, was aimed at providing a platform to existing and budding women entrepreneurs of the city.
"LEAP -- Lady Entrepreneurs Across Pune -- is deAsra Foundation's initiative to empower woman entrepreneurs by providing them necessary support to take their enterprises to the next level," said its Chief Executive Pradnya Godbolen.
The foundation said LEAP aims at helping women entrepreneurs provide a formal structure to their business set-ups, and how to grow it.
"The programme also aims to help women entrepreneurs to get compliant with all requirements of business, and acquaint them with one of the most critical aspects of running a business successfully - networking," it said in a statement.
