A demand to declassify files related to freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was made in the Rajya Sabha Tuesday, to unravel the mystery behind his death.
The issue was raised in the Rajya Sabha during zero hour by Trinamool Congress leader Sukhendu Shekhar Roy.
Roy said before coming to power, the BJP also wanted the files related to Bose to be revealed.
"The nation has the right to know what happened to Netaji," he said, demanding that 39 files be declassified and put up in the National Archives.
"The files should be kept in the National Archives for public viewing," he said.
