The Delhi government on Wednesday approved Rs 891 crore budget for Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB), a statement said.
The DUSIB its 17th board meeting here, with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the chair, also decided to relocate JJ Basti, in Vinod Nagar area of east Delhi, to widen the Delhi-Meerut highway and allot flats to the affected residents.
"About 400 JJ dwellers will be allotted flats at Baprola to rehabilitate them as per Delhi Slum and JJ Rehabilitation and Relocation Policy 2015," said an official statement.
It added that out of estimated Rs 891.08 crore budget, Rs 373.65 crore will be spent in the execution of plan works in JJ Bastis to improve the living conditions there.
"Out of plan funds, Rs 107.35 crore will be spent on construction of community toilets," it said.
