A 16-year-old girl was kept hostage by a neighbour for four days in a house here and raped, said police Tuesday. The attacker and one of his friends have been arrested.
The victim, a Class 7 student from Kalyanpuri in east Delhi, was lured away from her home by her neighbour Chandan, 24, and kept hostage at his friend's house and raped, police said.
"The girl's parents approached us June 21 saying she was missing," said a police officer.
Four days later, police rescued the girl from the house of Chandan's friend, Pramod, which is located a few kilometres from the victim's house.
The girl told police that Chandan raped her several times and was also planning to force her into prostitution.
"Chandan and his friend Pramod were arrested Monday from the Chandan's house," the police officer said.
